Always contact the bookstore for more information about events, they will often reserve a copy of the book and ship it to you. Book Signings FAQs
Always contact the store before going to a signing. I can't guarantee the dates and times for the events I have listed here, They change frequently and I don't always hear about them in time.
If you can't attend a signing in person, call the bookstore and ask if they willl get a book signed for you.
If you want to get memorabilia signed, check with the bookstore and see if they have any rules set up for it. Even if they say no, take it with you and see if you can get it signed after all the customers with books have been taken care of. If it is a really big name, then it is pretty unlikely you will get anything but the book signed.
Be kind to the bookstore employees. They are only following rules set up by the author and/or publisher. Plus, if they like you, they may be able to do you a favor and get something extra signed.
